About Christine E. Westberg, Esq.
During the course of her legal education, Christine E. Westberg gained practical experience as a student attorney with licensure under the Iowa Student Practice Act. Christine enjoyed an internship as a prosecutor with the Warren County Attorney’s Office, where she handled the misdemeanor traffic docket for the county. Christine’s work as a student prosecutor was so well-regarded that she was asked to remain with the county after her internship expired. Christine was later chosen to participate in Drake Law School’s Advanced Criminal Defense Clinic, where she represented indigent defendants charged with a variety of criminal offenses.
Since relocating to Georgia and joining Carvalho & Associates, P.C., Christine has changed focus to civil plaintiffs’ work, with an emphasis on environmental law. Christine is a member of the Iowa State Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the State Bar of Georgia. She is a 2007 graduate of Drake Law School, where she was Secretary of the International Law Society, Fundraising Co-Chair of Drake Law Women, and a member of Delta Theta Phi Law Fraternity, International. Christine was also a charter member of the Board of Directors of Oasis Domestic Violence Shelter and a member of the VIP fundraising panel for Variety-The Children’s Charity. Prior to attending law school, Christine received a Bachelor of Arts degree in English/Pre-law at the University of Iowa, where she was a member of the English Honors Program, Secretary of the Pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-law Fraternity, and a member of the Riverfest Development Committee.
