Michael P. Carvalho offers 12 years of focused immersion as an environmental attorney. He is admitted to practice in Georgia, Michigan, and Washington, D.C. Mr. Carvalho is admitted to U.S. District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia, the Eastern District of Michigan and the U.S. Supreme Court. A native of Boston, Massachusetts, he handles many environmental real estate issues for Fortune 500 clients nationally.
Before entering private practice in 1994, Mr. Carvalho worked for seven years as an environmental consultant, handling site assessment, environmental auditing for compliance, and environmental remediation. He contributed to the development of the national ASTM Standards for Phase I environmental site assessments and actively participating in framing the national debate over the U.S. EPS’s recent “All Appropriate Inquiry” (AAI) regulation.
Michael Carvalho is a member of the American Bar Association, Georgia Trial Lawyers Association, Cobb County Bar Association, and sits on the Board of Editors of the International Council of Shopping Centers. He is also an active member of the National Brownfield Association and the Environmental Bankers Association. Mr. Carvalho has authored numerous articles on environmental compliance.
